President Obama has signed the E-Label Act on Wednesday, which allows electronics manufacturers to add label for products electronically using software instead of print physically on hardware.
This means the future smartphones like iPhone and some Android phones with a non-removable cover may drop the majority of logos on the back side. Most of the Android phones ships with labels detailing the IMEI and serial numbers under the battery compartment.
According to a report on The Hill,
The change should give companies more flexibility under Federal Communications Commission rules, supporters argued, especially as consumer electronics get smaller and smaller.
With the E-Lable act you will see neat and cleaner designs of smartphones and tablets having information within the phone’s software. Do you like the phones with less labels? Let us know via comment.
